There are two sizes for leaks being a small leak or a large leak. Players must be careful when sailing a boat as crashing into the boarders of the world, Sea Stacks or Salt Formations will cause a player to spring a leak in their boat. That all aside, the following are all the items players can craft when using a Think Tank: BOAT KITĪ Boat Kit requires 4 Boards to prototype and will allow players to place a circular Boat in the Ocean.īoats require players to either use an Oar, Driftwood Oar, Malbatross Bills or the use of a Mast in tandem with a Steering Wheel.Ī Boat will initially have 200 Health and once boarded players will witness a new icon in the top right corner of their screen, being the health of the Boat. Sailing in Don’t Starve Together works quite differently than sailing in Shipwrecked and many players who have played both variants of the game tend to prefer sailing in Shipwrecked over Don’t Starve Together, mostly for the fact that Boats in DST tend to be a bit more difficult to control as players will essentially have to control the Boat using a steering wheel which results in the boat drifting rather than smoothly sailing. Sailing is also the only way players will be able to reach the Crab King and Malbatross. Sailing is an important element of Don’t Starve Together as it is the only way for players to reach the Hermit Island and the Lunar Island. In order to prototype the Think Tank players will need to be standing next to a Science Machine and trade in 4 Boards in order to craft.Īs mentioned earlier, players will be able to craft a number of resources that have to do with sailing. The Think Tank and Seafaring Tab closely resembles the Nautical Tab in Shipwrecked which requires the use of a Science Machine, Alchemy Engine or Sea Lab. Occasionally, you will come across other rafts with other players on board. The Think Tank is a Don’t Starve Together exclusive crafting station that players can use to access the Seafaring Tab.Īs the tab’s name suggests, players will be using the Think Tank to craft items that are used for sailing or other water related objects, though players should note that they will be unable to craft Bobbers and Lures without a Tackle Receptacle as this is the station that will provide players with the knowledge to craft such recipes. After all, it’s easier to survive through hardships and trials as a team. The game is available in a single mode as well as co-op mode with friends.
You can even build several floors and make it look more like a cruise ship!
You’ll be able to sleep on a soft bed, take sun bathes on the deck, grow fruits and palms, design the raft to your own taste. With time, your life will become just as comfortable as it used to be on land. You need to keep that in mind and protect your raft well from weather mishaps and hungry predators lurking in the ocean depth. But the sea won’t only offer you its marvelous gifts. As you float past reefs and islands, you can search for food and resources there. You’ll be surprised to discover how much handy stuff floats in the ocean! Wielding your trusty hook, you will equip your raft with tools, furniture and even weapons. With it, you can pull debris out of water and use it to improve your shaky vessel. Luckily, you have a wooden hook in your hand. Until then, you can only count on yourself. It’s going to be a long time until someone sees and rescues you.
From now on, your life will be closely linked to this raft. It’s a miracle you grabbed onto a piece of wood which is now floating peacefully on a calm water surface ready to fall apart any moment. It seems you are the only one to survive. You never imagined something like this could happen to you, but there was a terrible storm and the cruise liner you were sailing on is now at the bottom of the ocean. Even today, with advanced shipbuilding technologies and pinpoint-precise weather forecasts, vessels keep drowning and people keep getting lost in the sea.
